Wren is best known as the architect of St. Paul's Cathedral and other London churches. As with all Famous Faces there are objects around the base. For this bust we have included the works of the great architect - St Brides, Temple Bar, St Paul's Cathedral. The Corinthian order was adopted by the Romans from the Greeks and was bestowed with the association of beauty and love. It is the most popular of the Greek Orders. Detail has been taken from the Temple of Zeus Olympia, Athena, BC 174.

The movement itself was a rebellion against the age of mass production. A return to traditional craft methods and ‘romantic’ forms of decoration, inspired by the flora and fauna of the British countryside. As a reward, he set the dolphin in the sky as a constellation. Dolphins, in Greek mythology, were often depicted rescuing humans in danger.
