More Info
This striking replica has been crafted in the UK and is cast from a mould taken from the original artefact which is now housed in the British Museum’s Department of Egypt and Sudan.

The original bronze artefact was created c.600 BC in the form of a falcon which was commonly associated with the god Horus.

In ancient Egypt, Horus was believed to be the son of Osiris and Isis, and was worshipped as the god of the sky, divine kingship, and as the protector of the pharaoh.

The statue was likely a votive offering dedicated at a temple of Horus.

A magnificent gift celebrating the finest of ancient Egyptian statuary.

Hand-made in the UK, this highly detailed replica has been cast from a mould taken from the original Late Period bronze sculpture, now housed in the British Museum. The figure shows the jackal-headed god posed with one leg forward as though in motion.
Anubis is one of the most well-known of the ancient Egyptian gods. Worshipped as the guardian and protector of the dead, Anubis was usually depicted as a jackal (a long-legged wild dog) or a wolf. He is also sometimes depicted as having the body of a man and the head of a dog. As can be seen in art from the time, Anubis watched over the mummification process before conducting the soul through the underworld. He was present for the Weighing of the Heart ceremony, and determined whether the deceased was worthy to enter the realm of the dead.
A striking gift for a lover of ancient Egyptian sculpture.
